Game was lost due to COACHING.
Fake Punt?
Kicking to Hester all of the sudden? Rex, you're the best. |

Game was lost more due to drop by Keller in the endzone.
Fake punts should be something a good team should be able to overcome. And if Bill Parcells is right, we are a good team. |

Perhaps since you mentioned two special teams plays you should focus on the teflon one Westoff.

The fake punt was a horrible, horribly-bad-odds-for-little-gain call, no question.
But we lost because (wait for it, we've heard it before)..... ....No. Pass. Rush. At. All. Pass Rush must be priority #1 for 2011. Scheme isn't getting it done. |

Rex is the General of this team, not Westhoff. |

NO. Coaching was a contributing factor for sure, but bot the real reason. We lost bc the Bears, altho statistcially defeated, made more BIG plays. Reasons game was lost:
1 - pass rush 2 - in connection to this: pass coverage by 3rd CB twice on BIG PLAYS for TDs, and once by Cromartie (great play by cutler on TD). 3 - bad run defense on certain plays - one for a 25+ yard TD. 4 - HESTER. (coaching -- why?) |
Fake Punt?
Kicking to Hester all of the sudden? Rex, you're the best.
You left out the most egregious mistake. How about calling timeout after 1st down on the Bears last drive with 2:43 left. If you dont call timeout the Bears have to snap it again before 2 minute warning on 2nd down. 2 minute warning, stop on 3rd down and then use your final timetout. How the announcers didnt even mention this is a joke. |

1. Pass rush
2. Terrible fake punt call 3. Dropped passes I'm not sure how you want to weight the three, but these were the big issues. To me its the drops that are most concerning....I've already come to terms with the god awful pass rush and questionable coaching. Didnt think our recievers would start dropping passes like we have. |

I agree, poor coaching was the factor. Rex's inexperience is really starting to show, I hope he can improve.

Aside from the problems we KNOW we have like an inconsistent/nonexistent passrush, the real disappointment was in the fake punt. Just a bad decision. Couple that with not going for it on 4th down on the Bears side of the field with about 5 minutes left and you have two polar opposite decisions.
