Oh. Wait. But did it come ANYWHERE near what we THOUGHT this team was capable of this season?

Honestly, who gives a sh$t about making the playoffs as a wildcard?
Every fk'n Jets fan here, MJ. But the thing is : We care about making the playoffs, PERIOD.

I don't give a sh-t how we get in....just as long as we get in and we did.

B!tching and moaning about playoff seeding at this point is pretty pointless.

Oh, OK, so how will you feel after we immediately lose in our first playoff game?

And, BTW, was making the playoffs the goal or was WINNING THE SB the goal? I think the answer is rather obvious. We could have just as easily made the sixth seed in the playoff race with Eric Mangini as our HC.

So why did we even hire Rex Ryan? So he could run his pie hole all day long, just to break our hearts over and over again?

Holy Mackerel! Eat some "candy", brah...just be thankful you're not a Pats fan and had to live through an 18-0 season only to lose to the GMen. You'd be in a straightjacket...

No. And it has nothing to do with Rob Ryan...

I think Rex just isn't firm enough with his own players to run a ship that tight w/ his brother working under him. If he can't put his foot in his own player's asses what makes you think he'll do the same with Rob if the need be.

I just don't see that ending well...But Rob is a pretty good coach and deserves a legit shot.
I recall Rex quoted in an interview as saying that he and Rob could never work together after their experience on their father's coaching tenure with Arizona. He attributed it to the innate competitiveness between them, similar personalities and their head coaching ambitions.
Which refers back to what I said initally - sibling rivalry.

Your lack of intelligent answers to my questions are duly noted. In other words, I'm right and you hate it?

Yes, you are right. But I still think you suck.

Pettine and Rex are very close and I really can't see Rex letting him go no matter what. Having Rob on the staff would be great but I don't think he is looking for another DC job.
