The "Music Produced Since 2000" What Are You Listening To Thread (No Oldies!)
My purpose in starting this thread is to expose myself (and others) to some of the brilliant NEW mesic thats been (and is still being) created today.
While (as many know) I am a huge fan of many an older act (acts which tend to dominate other music threads here at JI), I wanted to have a thread specificly to exchange some of the great new acts floating around that I (and others) amy not yet be aware of and might like, without having to sort through page after page of great classic acts. So have at it my friends, post the best new, perhaps lesser known, indie, alt or anything else acts you've found and love in this century! There is some great music being made today, for those willing to look. And I'm looking! (Original OP Re-written in respect to the sensativity of our site moderator.) A rising star in modern rock/alternative. So modern, they didn't even release their first album on a physical format, iTunes/digital only.
These guys are getting great press fromt he critics, and having pickup up their brand new longplayer, "The Cold Still" I can see why. A bit of Coldplay, a bit of Radiohead and bit Floyd, wrapped up in a nice solid modern-rock package. [url] |
