Anyone ever knot a BOW tie???

Any of you knuckleheads ever tie a REAL bow tie? I am going to a black tie event and am committed to NOT wearing a clip on. Yesterday I spent an hour watching this video and finally got it.

Any one else? Hmm..jets fans, Bow ties. Can't expect a huge response.

It takes practice to tie them well, and good for you for not going with the clip-on. I have a few bowties, but my gf hates them. I think the only event to warrant a bowtie, outside of a black tie affair, is the Kentucky Derby.

Or, accepting a Nobel Prize.

Other than for a black, or white, tie event, I've never worn a bow tie. I just don't like the look. At one point, I must have had 50 silk ties and 20 pairs of braces. Now, maybe I own three ties.

WTF?

If you need those to keep your socks up...me thinks you should consider some calf exercises, maybe take up cycling or power walking.

FTR my calfs (calves?) are so muscular my socks can't go all the way around so they're down by my ankles all day. :dunno.

Absolutely. That's when they go in the trash. Plus, it's nice to start the year off with new underwear, socks, etc. It's what my Mom always did for us, and I have carried that tradition through all these years.

LOL. Yeah, I guess that level of flatulence would wreak havoc on modern day cottons and blends.
