Anyone ever knot a BOW tie???
Any of you knuckleheads ever tie a REAL bow tie? I am going to a black tie event and am committed to NOT wearing a clip on. Yesterday I spent an hour watching this video and finally got it.
Any one else? Hmm..jets fans, Bow ties. Can't expect a huge response. [url] |

It takes practice to tie them well, and good for you for not going with the clip-on. I have a few bowties, but my gf hates them. I think the only event to warrant a bowtie, outside of a black tie affair, is the Kentucky Derby.

Or, accepting a Nobel Prize. Other than for a black, or white, tie event, I've never worn a bow tie. I just don't like the look. At one point, I must have had 50 silk ties and 20 pairs of braces. Now, maybe I own three ties. |

Absolutely. That's when they go in the trash. Plus, it's nice to start the year off with new underwear, socks, etc. It's what my Mom always did for us, and I have carried that tradition through all these years. |

LOL. Yeah, I guess that level of flatulence would wreak havoc on modern day cottons and blends. |
