Paradis Picks. + 3 way Scenario mock.
Here it is... (I know how excited you all are, and YES we are trading up for Kyle Rudolf)
The only mock i'm gonna do this year.. 1) CAR : C. Newton, QB Auburn 2) DEN : M. Dareus, DT Bama 3) BUF : V. Miller, OLB T. A&M 4) CIN : A. Green, WR Georgia ...wish it weren't so, but CIN's gonna. 5) ARZ : P. Peterson, CB LSU 6) CLE : J. Jones, WR Bama ....By passing on Gabbert, they're committing to Colt.. So i think they honor that with Jones. 7) SF : B. Gabbert, QB Mizzou 8) TEN : N. Fairly, DT Auburn 9) DAL : T. Smith, OT USC ...Tried other ppl here. not working. Jerry protects his golden boy. 10) WSH: R. Quinn, OLB/DE NC 11) HOU: A. Smith, OLB Mizzou ...Wade wants his new "Ware" 12) MIN: J. Locker, QB WSH ...I know, crazy right? Or is it... 13) DET: P. Amukamara, CB Neb. 14) STL: C. Liuget, DT Illinois ...Such a boring pick, but everyone else is gone. 15) MIA: M. Pouncey, G Florida 16) JAX: R. Kerrigan, DE Purdue 17) NE : C. Jordan, DE Cal. ...what a nightmare. You see this Tanny?!? Do something about it. 18) SD : JJ Watt, DE Wisc 19) NYG: A. Castonzo, OT BC ...let the tackle run begin 20) TB: J. Houston, DE Georgia 21) KC: G. Carimi, OT Wisc 22) IND: D. Sherrod, OT Miss St. 23) PHI: N. Solder, OT Col. 25) NO: D. Bowers, DE Clem. 25) SEA: J. Smith, CB Col. ...SEA's probably gonna trade back. We could be looking at Smith. 26) BAL: M. Wilkerson, DE Temp. ...They're crazy for him over in Body'more murderland 27) ATL: T. Jones, RB E. WSH ...Turner's burnt. Jones is hot. I like the fit. ATL could also go Rudolf or Heyward. 28) NE: M. Ingram, RB Bama 30) CHI: M. Austin, DT NC 30) NYJ: C. Heyward, DE OSU ...I didn't manipulate this. NOS and BAL are the only legitimate roadblocks. 30) PIT: A. Williams, CB Tex. 31) GB: A. Ayers, OLB UCLA Possible Trades: DAL: i think they could trade back a few spots and still get a LT. I predict NE mulls over trading up for A. Smith. or R. Quinn MIN: Would love to move back 10 spots and still get Locker. PHI - Amukamara could happen here. MIA: Has no 2nd rounder. If someone wants Kerrigan or Jordan. Here's where it happens. Jets or Bal maybe. SEA, ATL & CHI: I do believe that CIN, BUF & WSH would like to get Dalton, Mallet, and Ponder respectively and would target those spots to beat the competition. Probably not all of them happen but 1 or 2, sure. Last edited by Paradis; 04-19-2011 at 07:16 PM. |

I know! After wrestling with this (and believe me i did) i think just staying put, gives us who we need. I'd love to come of the draft with Chris Carter, but I think the combination of Ozougwu and Friday works.
I can't say how underrated i think Lainhart is. Forget measurables. He's a ballhawk FS that i see being successful under Rex. Last edited by Paradis; 04-19-2011 at 08:14 PM. |

The more I think about it, the more I hope they trade back to the 45 range. There will be plenty of quality players still on the board at that time.
Scenario 3 would be my choice among these options. Johnson is a perfect fit here IMO. He isn't Santonio Holmes, but he has a similar style and build. Great acceleration and quickness... hits full speed in a flash. Scoring 21 TDs at USC is nothing to sneeze at either. He's one of those players who never really lived up to the expectations, partially because they were very high. But he's done pretty well in a big time program and I think most of the football world will look back and wonder why he wasn't taken higher than he will wind up going. |

I like scenario 1 and and 3 except for #3's 1st pick. Bailey sounds like Gholston all over again except DE.

I'm not getting a Gholston vibe at all from Bailey. Sure, you can not like him, but i don't see it as a matter of him not fitting our scheme or not being able to do what's asked of him. You could interchange any of the 2nd DEs there. Bailey/Ballard/Jenkins. We'd be picking them presumably before anyone else does, so you got your pick. Not bad for the beginning but a few problems
1. Philly isn't gonna pass on Jimmy Smith all signs are pointing to them taking him 2. Bowers isn't slipping to 25 regardless of concerns 3. I dont know feel baltimore could take a Wideout bc housh and mason are old 4. NO Chance in hell no shot taiwan jones is a 1st round pick especially to atlanta who has plenty of other needs. Jones is a late 2nd at best prospect unless a team like the raiders likes his crazy speed. Atlanta needs line men, DE are old, WR opposite Roddy White, or TE which u said. 5. Why would NE take Ingram there when the 4 teams behind them don't need a RB and then they pick again at 33. Just a few observations otherwise not bad |

As a USC fan, I loved RoJo........when he was healthy. I don't know what his 40 time was, but he can get behind people. I also really like the Friday pick. He's supposed to be there at the end of round 6?

Scenario 2 for me. Brown's a good player and Albright is an interesting name to throw out.

Ya It's gamble. He's expected to go between 5-7. Who knows right? When you get down there, teams start taking players they like regardless or need, or they got a tip about a guy, or a project player someone was sweet on. Impossible to predict really. Walter had him going rnd 6 to Ballymore FWIW

1 - nothing certain about Jimmy. 2- maybe. tough to say anymore. 3- There's no one of value there. Baltimore doesn't reach on offense. I've heard they want D in rnd 1. who knows. They DO love Wilky tho. they do... 4- we'll see. You're probably right, but i wanted a curve ball in there, and no one outside the top 15 guys is as hot as Jones right now. no one. 5- why? Cause NE isn't likely to stay at 33. top of rnd 2. Start of draft on friday. ...they'll be fielding calls. O'plenty. and they like ingram. thats the mentality i had making those picks anyway. |

A very nice range of options here, good job!
![]() If option 3 - Bailey, Carter, Brown, Fua, Johnson, Williams, Hix - comes to pass then I think I may well lose control of my bodily functions. I would absolutely love that draft.

you think Duenta Williams is going to be a 6th rd pick. I have him pegged as a 4th the latest.

I doubt it, but you never know. Moore's likely the only Safety to go before rnd 3. So... that would like 8-10 guys would have to within a round. Proobaby not. 6 is about right, 5 at the earliest.

I really wrestled with Fua in the 4th over Ozougwu, but felt like a NT is a position where you draft to start soon or right away, and truthfully I think it's Pouha's to loose this year. I would want them to shoot for 2 OLBs in the hopes that 1 of them becomes an serious contender. |
