Interesting having Houston go off the board that early. If anything I would even think switching the NE picks might make more sense...
Good mock though! |

if the jets draft Brooks "Charlie hustle" Reed with the 30th pick, the next time they make the playoffs Ryan won't be the HC.

I agree with into the green about the switch but other than that it looks to be a very solid mock indeed.

My problem doing this mock is the fact I have no trades.....I think there will be alot of trades in the bottom third of this draft for QB's.....I just don't see Locker,Mallett or Ponder going from 10-20, but I do think there will be teams like Washington, Cincy and Buffalo trading back into the lastpartof the 1st round. I just think the players they draft early are too good to pass up to reach for one of these guys early

Smith to the Redskins is when I got lost...they just went OT last year...Williams played very well too...I also don't think the Pats would grab Houston with their first pick...not their type of player...Reed just isn't versatile or even straight up good enough to be a first round pick for Rex Ryan's D.

Dont see Cam Jordan as a great fit for Minny, They just gave Robinson 5 mill a year to play opposite Allen, In an uncapped year they would just keep Edwards and have a great three headed monster at DE and save the pick. I think Prince
would be the pick with Winfield being about 32yo Where do you see Bowers playing in Dallas's 3-4 Still don't see miami taking a player at a position of strength, while needing a QB and interior oline help. not picking again till #77 means the oline or qb needs to be addressed in the first. Definetely a team that will trade down unless in love with Mallet. Houston fits the need but is very high, I think they decide to say by to light and get a LT, with the way you have the board falling. I think Pioli rolls the dice with Taylor |

Even if its not the best deal in the world, several of the guys we are choosing from at #30 (in this scenario) will still be around 10 picks later - especially considering 5 of those guys will be QBs. |

they can't trade players they can't trade future draft picks so what exactly are they gonna offer these teams to move up? I also agree that this is a worst case scenario for the Jets but this Brooks Reed hate has to stop. The dude is a good player who did very well at the Senior Bowl. It's not like he's a no-namer being drafted purely on haircut. |

+1. Even if there are several tier 2 QBs available, it makes sense for a team to move up to get "their guy". If Locker goes in the teens or early 20s, and the next wave starts going off the board at 25 or so, someone wants to move up to #30. Be it Buffalo, Cincy, TN, SF, Minny, etc.

What's also helpful is the Pats looking at QB's like Mallett and Locker.....they have the 1st overall pick in the 2nd round, there will be teams wanting to jump them

going into the draft hoping to trade down that's a pretty decent sign you are screwed.
