Mark Sanchez to hold workouts for teammates May 2-8 in Southern California

Get ready for Jets West Camp 2.0.

For the second straight year, Mark Sanchez will be holding an offseason passing camp/workouts for teammates in Southern California. The Daily News has learned that the workouts will take place from May 2-8.

Last summer, Sanchez held the camp at his old stomping grounds – Mission Viejo High School -- in addition to making up t-shirts for the event. No word on whether he's going to bedazzle this year's shirts as he promised last year.

The Daily News has compiled a list of confirmed players that will attend through various sources.

RB LaDainian Tomlinson
RB Joe McKnight
FB John Conner
WR Braylon Edwards
TE Dustin Keller
TE Jeff Cumberland
QB Kevin O’Connell

It's interesting to note that Edwards has chosen to go even though he is an unrestricted free agent. Fellow free agent wideouts have chosen a different path. Brad Smith isn’t likely to attend, according to a source.

Fellow free agent wideout Santonio Holmes, who attended last season, said earlier this month that he won’t be going due to a familiar/personal matter.

braylon edwards is drooooling to be a jet again...... hopefully that translates into a salary cap friendly contract

i read an article earlier that Edwards already had a deal in place with the jets when this whole mess is over which should be shortly after the draft...

Maybe with a second time around, Sanchez can actually work on hitting LT and Keller 3 yards in front of him and not have it hit off their helmets.

I was hoping to see Patrick Turner on that list. The history of playing with Sanchez and McKnight at USC I thought would have made a nice triple threat. Not to say it wont happen because he is not attending, just something to consider.
