NBC News is reporting that we have his body.

Chuck Todd brings up a good point -- if we have his body, does that mean US forces are on the ground in Pakistan, as it is extremely difficult to recover casualties from a drone strike?

It will be interesting to see how this affects the mission in Afghanistan. Bin Laden was probably just a figurehead, but for US forces this puts a tangible reward on their sacrifices; for the Muslim insurgents, this must exist as a moral defeat.

And now Obama can take credit for something he had pretty much nothing to do with. Everyone wins.

From what I am hearing on ABC it was a military action that resulted in his death, the best thing that can come from this is how much did Pakistan help and what exactly did they do to help us out. If this was a joint effort then it is a really good day, because Pakistan is such a mess I wouldn't expect any help at all.

To think Obama gets zero credit is very disingenuous. If it is indeed a military action that got him, the President shares credit. I think everyone involved in trying to find him for the last 10 years get credit, but to say Obama had nothing to do with it seems extreme.
