Yeah shows like that could get scary, the only Clash show I made it to I came home with bloodied shins, people were jumping of their chair backs and stuff.

We freely speak of dreams
We marvel at what they conceal
But in my wonderworld
Each sleeping vision is so real
So I believe and hope
That all the things I see
May one day bring
Such truth and peace
As we can feel

Free from this waking world
Deep in sleep's mystery
My will is free to wander
Free to wander carelessly
At times it's not so far
From what we call reality
And at times I know I wonder
If it all could come true

Oh, Mr. Wonderworld
Don't be afraid
'Cause dreams were made
Were made to dim the light
The torment day can bring
And leave you free
To laugh aloud and hear
Your heart bells ring
Oh, oh, Mr. Wonderworld
Wonderworld

Oh, Mr. Wonderworld
Don't be afraid
'Cause your dreams were made
They were made to dim the light
The torment day can bring
And leave you free
To laugh aloud and hear
Your heart bells ring
Oh, oh, Mr. Wonderworld
Mr. Wonderworld
Mr. Wonderworld

Slash, thanks for keeping the rock flag flying. Myles, you hold the baton from immortals such as Plant and Daltry.

Thanks. Just came up on my home iPod. What an old chestnut. Forgot how much I liked the tune.

I have an Internet fanboy compilation called *Bastard's Banquet*, which is the Beggar's Banquet album plus singles and outtakes from that period. That's when they cut it. Love that tune.

Sounds awesome.

I love their raw sound during these days.

Both bands are excellent live, saw QoTSA last year in NYC. My ears rang for weeks.

Me, too. Thanks for the info.

I miss my ears ringing after live shows. Oh, right, I still have the "gentle" reminder of tinnitus (no joke) from all those insanely loud concerts in the 70s and 80s.

nyahay, is there a similar CD available (assuming you'd know ) for the "Black and Blue" period? They started an island vibe with "Luxury" off of IOR&R....until they cut "Some Girls".

Anything, old chum? :batman:

I have 3 sets of stagehand ear plugs (about $12 ea) in my cars and at home; in my briefcase. I wear them in loud restaurants (almost every one in SF) and at concerts.

My son is a DJ; he has a custom pair; about $200 for ones molded to your ear.
