What an incredibly stupid statement.

A railroad between continents? Did the person who said that mean that we had built a railroad between the United States and France? Or China?

Who could have said that? I'll bet it was Michele Bachmann. She's such a dope. Remember when she mixed up Elvis' birthday with the day he died? Boy, did the media have fun with that.

Wait until they get news that she thinks we built an Intercontinental Railroad.

Oh, it wasn't Michele Bachmann? It must have been some other idiot Republican who is running for president.

OK, I give up. Who was the dope who said, "We're the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad?"

Who? Barack Obama? And he said it during a speech last week to sell his 17th latest jobs plan?

Oh, I take that dope remark back. I apologize. This man is the president and he cannot be called a name like that. He should be treated with all the dignity that the President of the United States deserves.

We're not talking about the way George W. Bush or George H.W. Bush or Ronald Reagan or Gerald Ford or Richard Nixon or Dwight Eisenhower were treated.

They could be called dopes, and were called dopes, because they were Republican presidents.

This is so uncomfortable. Let me change the subject. Did I actually hear that someone running for office said out loud that they had traveled to all 57 states?

Now that has to be Sarah Palin. What a boob. How can she hope to be elected when she doesn't know how many states there are in the United States. It was Palin, right? Or was it Bachmann?

You say it was Barack Obama in 2008? It's on YouTube. Well, I can understand that. It's not that they teach geography at Harvard. And yes, I know, Barack Obama is the smartest president since Jimmy Carter.

Well, while you're at it, are there any more er . . . er . . . "unfortunate" remarks that would only be funny if Obama was a Republican? You tell me. It's not that anyone in the media is going to report this stuff about Obama.

Did Obama really say that Abraham Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party? He did. Oh, that's unfortunate. Well, they may not teach history at Harvard either.

But I have been told by many Democrats that Barack Obama is the smartest president since Jimmy Carter.

This column is making me so uncomfortable. Now I'm going to hear from all my good Democrat friends who are so, so unhappy when they read anything I write that contradicts their belief that Barack Obama is the smartest man in the world.

I'm so sensitive about the mail I'm going to receive on this column that I'm designing a form letter to save all my good Democrat friends time when they want to write me a hate letter.

Why are Republicans surprised that the liberal media doesn't call out Obama on gaffes like they did Bush?

It's probably the same reason the Conservative media didn't call out Bush on gaffes like they do to Obama.
