Childhood Toys

Couldn't find the thread we had a while back of our childhood toys.

I just bought this bad boy off ebay for my 3 year old son. Seeing him play with the same toy I played to death with is awesome.

Mint condition, working elevator and all the cars and little guys.

YOu know what I used to have when I was a kid? Tonka trucks that were made from real g'damn steel. Not this cheap plastic shyt you see nowadays. For a kid playing in a dirt pile in the back yard, you need a steel dumptruck. Can you even get them anymore, or are they banned because the edges might get rusty and scratch a child??

Don't laugh, but they still make them. When we were down at Cape Kennedy and NASA a few years ago my son wanted the helmet and the boots and they're the same molds from that Star Team collection.

I wasn't mocking, they look awesome.

I'm sure they have the technology to come out with zero gravity boots but haven't because of the risk of lawsuits from parents with kids in intensive care.

Lego.
GI Joe.
Transformers.
He-Man.

Not a complete list, but generally hits the most common toys in my youth collections.

See the raised lip on the top of the parking garage that kept the cars from rolling off? My little sister was horsing around and fell off the couch and landed face-first onto that garage, right on the lip....rushed to the hospital, blood everywhere, 8 stiches :D

Didn't get a scratch. :D

We had all of those Little People toys...the barn, airplane, campler. Used to love the fake 'moo' sound from the barn when you opened and closed the doors.

My favorite was the houseboat-warning:gigantic image
