I worked in a High School once....had to redo a section 6" water main in the drop ceiling in the hallway. Did it on Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Well....I didn't tighten up the dresser coupling enough (one of these)...

...and it blew apart over the holiday weekend. No one noticed until a cop pulled into the parking lot to make a phone call on Sunday and noticed the water running out of the front door of the school.

Ended up costing my bosses insurance company 360k and the kids weren't allowed in the school for a full week before all the damage was fixed. If they had known me...I would have been their hero.

My boss wasn't pissed, thank god. Sh*t happens, I suppose...
