Revis, Brick and Mangold all future Hall of Famers?
I think it's a unique situation we have, I don't think we've ever had three Jets with such lofty potential. I also think Brandon Moore if he plays another 4,5 years might gain that same recognition, he's been a rock for us for many years and the argument can be made that the reason that Brick and Mangold were so good had also a lot to do with Moore, so if they're deserving so is Moore. Rex was commenting on him saying that one of the reasons the line play is so much better is because Moore is back to form again. Just a midweek thing to mull over while we wait for Sunday, opinions? Not yours Maine...:D

Maybe for Revis. Maybe for Mangold. No for Brick. And NO WAY for Moore. |

Not D'Brick. Revis and Mangold are locks if they stay injury-free.

Since you expressly asked not to get my opinion... I'll give it to you.:D Revis and mangold I believe are absolute locks, they just need to continue to play and cement their legacy. Brandon Moore I'm not so sure about. Has he even made the pro bowl yet? That tells me that people may not know just how good he truly is. Although I'm certain everyone in Jet land knows. Besides, the pro bowl is nothing more than a popularity contest. |

Why not Brick? He's already an elite LT in this league, he's top 3 right now in my book and he has the body type to play another 10 years. |

It sucks, but no one recognizes D'Brick as an elite LT besides Jets fans. |

When healthy, the Jets OL is the best in football bar none, and they have been for the last 3 years. And the constant factors have been Brick, Mangold and Moore. People really need to pay attention to Moore, because he absolutely manhandles whoever is in front of him, he's not the biggest guy, only around 300, but pound for pound he's probably the strongest OL in the league. I think he benches close to 600 pounds:eek::eek::eek:
Moore finally got his big fat C, good for him! Last edited by Slikmojet; 11-10-2011 at 03:33 PM. |

Revis is on a HOF trajectory.
Brick is not. He's a borderline All-Pro at a premium position. Which is great. But to make the hall you have to repeatedly start Pro Bowls, and he's yet to do that even once. Moore has never even been to a Pro Bowl, so he's certainly not in the HOF discussion. |

Revis is a virtual lock, unless injury ruins his career or his play greatly diminishes in the near future for some other reason. He's already recognized by many as one of the greatest to ever play the position, even this early in his career.
Mangold has a very good shot. He's elite at his position. Brick is unlikley. LT is the kind of position where you have to be elite, and while Brick is a pro bowl caliber LT, he's not generally percieved to be one of the top 2-3 LTs in the game. |

That is not true, people have a very high opion of Brick which is also proved by him going to numerous pro bowls already. He is widely regarded as the best pure pass protector in the league and if he adds longevity to his career, he will definitely get some consideration... |

Moore doesn't but he's one of the top two, three RG's in this league. |

The only way Brandon Moore gets into the hall of fame is buying a ticket. Let's see him actually get voted into a pro bowl first.
Revis and Mangold seem to be good bets if they can continue on their level for another 5 years. D'Brick has an outside shot. A Super Bowl win or two would help |

Brandon Moore a HOF candidate? You must be high as hell!
Brick very unlikely, Revis and Mangold possibly/likely if they maintain their level of play for another 5-6 years |

That's what I'm talking about, if they all retire now they won't make it, but if they continue to play like this for another 5 years, what then? |

You have no understanding of how difficult it is to get elected to the HOF. Revis should get in. Mangold is probably the best center of his generation, but that's not enough. Maybe if Jets win a couple Super Bowls with him leading a great rushing game he'd get in. |

Moore? really? really?
How many Guards make the HOF in the modern era? You have to be the best of the best of the best, and Moore, while good, isn't that. |

David Harris may have a chance as the jets get better. He's already one of the best in the nfl and has been from the beginning. Brandon Moore? No chance.

Still too early to tell for any of the three. Lots of ball left before we can put them in that conversation. Revis looks like he's paving the way, so does Mangold . Brick doesn't get the recognition he deserves.
Brandon Moore? LOL you're joking right? |
