Why would you guys give Belichick any credit? He has a putrid defense.... And that's supposed to be his specialty. So basically Belichick is awful in practice and on gameday in that regard.
Win some serious games without Brady please... Rex is a better coach than Belichick but doesn't have the once in a lifetime QB. Rex is an excellent coach who has chosen to stick with the wrong offensive coordinator. For that he deserves blame. Also made some mistakes on judging talent such as Hunter because Rex was clearly one of his fans. The defense will end up being top 10 as long as Rex is here and that is damn impressive, mainly because the Jets have never really had a great defense outside of the sack exchange. And Rex will always have a better defense than Belichick as long as they both coach. |

Lawrence Taylor, Ed Reed and Darelle Revis have a way of making good coaches look like great defensive minds. Trade Revis straight up for Devin McCourty and we'll see who has a top 10 defense. |

And if you don't give BB some credit for turning Brady, a scrawny 6th round pick, into the elite QB he is today, you're kidding yourself. Rex is a good defensvce coach, I've already stated that. But to say he's better than BB when his in-game coaching is so putrid is total homer talk. He sucks a the basics like clock management, when to use challenges, and that bitz last night was a total coaching failure that cost you the game.
Rex seems to be a good motivational coach who the players like and buy into. His defensive expertise is unquestioned. But, he's a lousy game day coach, and not a complete one at that, as he doesn't seem to have control and complete understanding of the offensive side of the ball.
BB is the complete coach IMO. Many, but not all of his players love playing for him. I do think with his GM duties he bites off more than he can chew but it's hard to argue with the results. But I'd take Rex's pressers over monotone Bill any day of the week.
Bull shat! Belicheat is very overrated having benefitted from having Tammy the past decade. As a Pats fan, you should recall when Belicheat returned to the Meadowlands as coach of NE in his very first game, the Patsies blew a large 4Q lead. Please tell us how Belicheat is "the complete coach" when NE is ready to fire him in 2001. Herm Edwards said on tv last week that Belicheat told him that he was worried and it could be it for him in NE if he doesn't start winning soon. That was only week 2 in his second season as NE's coach. In other words, spare us your trolling bull shat and failed attempts to rewrite history. Rex's first seasons as a HC are far better than Belicheat's tenure at Cleveland and NE (first season +). Just the fact troll. Now GFY.... |

That's just wrong, on more than one level. The Patriots went 11-5 WITHOUT Brady in 2008. Rex is a very good defensive coach and motivator but lacks the overall knowledge and mastery of situational football that BB possesses. |

There's no way in hell that Beli was going to lose his job in his second week of of his second season given what he cost to the organization to get him. I don't give two chits what Herm the Loser claims, or you for that matter. And I'm not comparing Rex today to Bill from 20 years ago in Cleveland. Bill today is 20x the coach as Rex. No contest. |

Why?? Because you say so troll? Let me see, either Herm is lying or we should take the word of a trolling patethic a-hole who does't understand that he is not welcome here. I heard Herm Edwards say it on ESPN. Putting that aside, without Brady, BB had 5 losing seasons out of 6. Fact. So please don't tell me how great he is. Before Tammy, BB stunk as a coach. Furthermore, he hasn't won squat since being exposed as a cheater....spygate. Since Belicheat is 20x the coach Rex is, how come Rex kicked the crap out of Belicheat in the game that mattered most -- playoffs in January? Hmmmm. Now speaking of losers, look in the mirror and GFY.... |

Rex's defensive scheme vs the Pats in the playoffs was nothing short of masterful. The Pats were unable to make halftime adjustments to stop it. BB is an elite coach but a mediocre judge of talent (GM). Having said that many of the Jets standouts on D were drafted before he was the HC. I'm sure BB could get just as much if not more out of them if he were the HC of the NYJ. Rex does seem to lose focus at times...

Ok fine but using that logic no one here can brag about Rex's playoff wins that went to nowhere. The fact that the Jets non factor playoff wins were more recent that the Pats is a hardly a HOF accomplishment worthy of bragging rights. |

Not bragging about the Jets playoff wins the past two years. Please stay on topic. The pats have done crap since being exposed as cheaters. I am not under any delusion that the Jets are awesome because they have gone to the Championship game. Been there done that. Dont close the deal and its a failure of a season.... |

Please don't be a homer and a hypocrite as I refuted your post on the topic of Rex vs BB. :dunce: You make it sound like the Pats were the equivalent of the Seahawks since spygate. So Larry...while 2007 was ultimately a failure if winning 18 games in a row and almost winning the SB equates to BB doing "crap" you're delusional. This Jets fan chestnut is laughable...like a homeless guy laughing at guy in a Mercedes. BTW your genius coach, the Ravens DC in '07 made a boneheaded timeout which allowed the Pats to beat the Ravens in the closing seconds. BB > Rex  |
