So how do you kill them by the way?

My character is mostly a mage so I blast them from afar and run back and blast. By the time they get up close I can usually finish them off with a sword.

I'm stuck in Riften. Every time I got get something out of someone, I have a new job to do. I have like 12 missions to do before everything.

No you don't, not yet at least. The game loses its appeal if you can't be hurt by enemies.

I haven't been able to make anything that strong yet, but I totally agree.
Part of the anticipation of battle is knowing you could get your ass kicked.

That being said, one of the first things I've tried to level up is archery, lots of great perks to take out a lot of enemies from afar...

Yup. This was the mistake I learned on my first character...

If you haven't already, Dmitri, go grab Faendal in Riverwood and make him teach you archery up to level 50

lol the wooden bowl. My big problem is that in a tight battle i as i am maneuvering (XBox) I invariably go into 1st person mode to into sneak mode by accident.
