Who do you want with our first round pick?
We're at 16, and although it is early it is always fun to speculate.
My first choice would be a WR either Jeffery or Floyd, but I would be OK with TRich or Barron as well. I'll put some of the names I've been hearing a lot. |

I think the first pick has to fill the biggest need - An OLB that can get after the passer. I'm partial to Upshaw because he's played on the biggest stages and seems to rise to the occassion. I know many have Ingram rated slighly higher, but I'm reluctant to pick a spurrier defender in the first round.... his players seem to rise to the challenge of the NFL with less frequency than Saban's.

A very tempting scenario....Trent Richardson and Shonn Greene duo would punish teams.

Burfict has T-Sizzle written all over him. Same college too.
Jets need a OL above everything. If they get a RT in FA then they can do whatever they want but OL is the most important need. When the OL is good, the team is good. |

There's a reason he may be the first gaurd taken in the top 10 since 97.. and will easy go top 20. He's an ELITE prospect and an amazing run blocker. Something we didn't do this season. Plus, our OL depth is laughable.
Moore is 31 with a bad hip. Wouldn't mind plugging an elite gaurd in next to Mangold and have them maul people and reestablishing ground and pound. Last edited by Jet Life; 01-09-2012 at 11:01 PM. |

I can appreciate getting help for our OL. And he seems to be a great prospect, but if the Jets ever took a Guard with the 16th pick in the first round, I would throw a chair through the Big screen and hit Goodell in the head before he could finish saying the name Decastro.

Upshaw looks tired.
Not sure what his 40 is either but my guess is in the 4.7s on a good day. |

I have no idea who that guard is, but if he truly is an ELITE can't-miss future all pro guard in the making, I'd MUCH rather spend a first rounder on a guy that will help the team run the ball for the next 15 years than a ****ing flash in the pan RB. Richardson didn't even look like the best back on his team.
