Were you alive when the Jets won SBIII?
Anonymous poll. Trying to get a sense of the percentage of our fanbase at JI who hasn't been alive for a Jets Super Bowl win.
Whether you were 3 days old or 30 years old, simple question - where you actually alive when the Jets won the Super Bowl? Unfortunately (fortunately?) I was not. :( |

Really? I was 10 and remember it well. Was a Namath fan because of all the press he got and we saw mostly Jets games on TV those days because the Pats sucked so bad they were always blacked out. But I still expect to be around 30 years from now. Hell, maybe 40+! |

No. I wouldn't be born for almost another 20 years.
None of my favorite teams have won titles in my lifetime. |

Yeah I was 16.
The Super Bowl win was the start of a great year for me personally. 9 months later the Mets also turned the sports world upside down. I lost my virginity over the summer under a cabana at Breezy Point Surf Club. Was introduced to Columbian Gold also that summer. In the fall the Knicks won 19 straight games followed by a Championship in the spring of 1970. Those were the days my friend, I thought they'd never end. |

I was a college freshman. Don't mean to get too philosophical here, but it really is amazing how as you get older, important events of the past seem so much closer. I have such a clear memory of that game that it's hard for me to grasp how long ago it all was.

I was in Pleiku VN on that day and only got to listen to the game via transistor on AF radio. I still think it started at 4 AM in the morning. Finally got a bootleg videotape of it and watched the original game tape (including Pall Mall and Salem commercials) sometime in the late 80s or early 90s
Also alive enough to have attended two Titans Thanksgiving home games in 60 and 61 against the Dallas Texans and Oakland Raiders before a crowd of hundreds |
