Luke Kuechley in 1st

He's the best lber in this draft and Bart Scott is just about done.
The most important pieces in a Rex Ryan defense aren't outside Lbers.

The character of this kid is off the charts...
I doubt it happens, but this team could use a guy or two like him.

Im a BC Grad and absolutely love the kid as a player, but as much as Id like to have a BC guy here, he simply isn't for us, and his skills would be somewhat wasted on our defense,

Scotts main job is the dirty work....take on blockers and free up harris and others to make plays. Thats not what you want luke doing, you want big DTs keeping him free to make tackles.

If I was the giants, Id consider trading up for him....immediately fixes their poor running defense and keeps him away from phila.

You might be right, but he's got the size, range and toughness to play any style of defense. I think he'd be another Harris for the Jets and 2 of those type of LBers in this defense wouldn't be a bad thing.

Still I see what you are saying. In a 4-3, he's a tackling machine, free him up and he'll be a special pro... better for him for sure.

He is smart, tough and a leader but I dont think his skills are what our defense lacks. We need fast, athletic guys who can go sideline from sideline and who can cover. Against NFL competition Kuechly will struggle in those areas.

You can Actually Get a starting Inside backer in the third round like a Audie Cole or Nigel Bradham or Bobby Wagner ... Then waste it in the first Round..

Very true, especially if that potential first rounder isnt a surefire lock like Patrick Willis.

Yeah he's seems more like a 4-3 Urlacher/Vilma type. Small with great instincts. Not sure he's as athletic as Urlacher/Vilma but we'll see soon at the combine.

He's too small for our scheme. Like the ap said he'd fit in perfect with the Giants.
