The next day? don't know about that. I had to use a cane with the boot walking around outside. I had major swelling, when I tried just walking around my house the next day. He did have to repair a ligament as well, but my doctor was more worried about the nerve, and scar tissue forming around it.
Yeah, yer gonna wanna steer clean of 32 on medical matters.
Had it done by a good Surgeon in Nassau County.

It worked.

Longer you let it go, the more damage to the median nerve because of the pressure.

They basically slice your palm open, so basically clock your recovery time on the type of work you do and the amount of rehab you can do.

3 years later, the scar is invisible and I can do pretty much anything I need to.

Have you had the EMG done? It should tell you how far the damage has gone.
No i havent had an EMG done.... besides being to the doctor once after i started having symptoms i havent been at all. Just wondering the type of work you do? and how long did you let it progress before you had the surgery done?

My work didnt involve any repetition other than alot of typing.

Prolly a genetic predisposition, my mother had it too.

I let it go about two years before my fingers were numb and cold.

Def. get the emg because alot of things could mimic the carpal tunnel symptoms. It doesnt affect all your fingers, btw.

They discovered the carpal tunnel syndrome when I went for a DMG for my arthritic disk. Didn't have any symptoms then but sure do now. I do alot of typing so that's probably what caused it. The braces and icing were effective for a while but I'm gonna have get it fixed soon.
