swap what? holmes for freeney? they aren't going to take hunter, ducasse and smith. If they would take scott I'd throw in a pick to make a deal

1) Would we want that salary?

2) Where would he fit in our defensive scheme?

3) He's small for a 4-3 DE, and my understanding as to WHY Indy is moving him is b/c he doesn't project well as a 3-4 OLB.

4) Why trade for an oft-injured old vet in a draft bursting with young PassRushing talent with a new "cheaper" CBA salary structure for rookies?

the only way I can make sense of this rumor is if we can unload one of our problems (holmes, scott) for one of theirs. some have speculated that keller would be dealt since he's not a good fit for sparano's system, perhaps they have their eyes on keller to replace clark? If we can package keller/scott or keller/holmes for freeney I'd make a deal

oof, there's no way we make this deal then unless we unload holmes with the intention of drafting WR in the 1st

Citing IB is almost as bad as referencing a TechJet thread.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets are inquiring about Freeney, but this isn't a rumor, it's just garbage from a piece of ****.

We're not getting rid of a young TE for a 32 year old DE. Also, everyone is saying why get a 4-3 end since we play a 3-4. Well, we do an awful lot of 4-3 on passing downs.
