And you bought that crap?
I know it to be true. Tebow's not going to be happy with 3-5 touches a game like people are posting. He's a ****ty player but he is a competitor and he wants to start. In his first presser he specifically said over and over that he came here to compete |

He'll be fine He can want to start all he wants, he's not a starting QB, and he's not going to undermine Sanchez In Denver, he knew the competition ahead of him sucked, he wanted his chance, he realize things aren't the same in NY. I know he's a competitor, and I love it, but he won't angle against Sanchez, they know each other, it's a completely different situation than Denver. The Tebow zealots can scream all they want, Tebow will know the deal, his comments in his PC mean nothing, its how he answers every question, seriously, reading into that, and then giving any credence to a Gary Myers article? C'mon man... Myers is a tool One thing I learned in the last 3 days, besides our fanbase is filled with more chicken littles than I thought, is the media eats this **** up, and they are doing everything they can to create controversy I'm looking forward to Sanchez' first PC, I'm also anxious to see this PC on Monday Two things for that PC that IMO will happen, I don't think the Jets only introduce Tebow, I think Landry and Schilens are also there, and I would bet Sanchez shows up for it, too!!!
Manish Mehta is confirming Gary Myers report that Tebow is coming to the Jets with the intention of being the starting QB. Cool trade Tannenbaum.
If this is the case, I think Tebow has misjudged the Jet fan base. Sure the stadium will have some Tebow homers that will support him regardless, but Jersey is not Denver. Listening to all the talking-heads say Mark is screwed after a couple bad series has me wondering why they think the fans will happily sit and watch Tebow go 3 for 18 throwing ducks all over the field. Not going to happen. Tebow will get run out of town. Even if Tebow sees time as the starting QB it wont last long unless he has learned to throw over the past couple months. Am I wrong? |
Ive never once rooted against Sanchez. I like the guy alot. Wear his shirt on gameday. But im not blinded by homerism. I saw a guy who in his 55th start had learned nothing about being an nfl qb. I saw the same guy in game one in hou in 09 as I did in his last game in south florida. He wasnt any better in start 55 then he was in start 1.
Did I want peyton manning? No. Did I want to give sanchez 1 more year? Yes. But the game has changed now. We have a guy that wins ballgames in tebow. Conventional or not, he wins games. National championship in college. Divison crown on the crappiest team in the nfl(yes at 1-4, that team was horrific last year.) With the addition of tebow, its time for sanchez to go.
so... no to Peyton Manning... but......yes to....Tim Tebow. Okay.. As far as that report, no surprise.. Tebow gonna be the starter by week 10 the Jets will be lucky to complete a forward pass. |

Tim Tebow will be Ray Lucas in 1998
In 1997 Parcells brought Ray Lucas to the Jets with Neil O'Donnell starting. In 1998 once Vinny took over we still threw Lucas in for a few plays both running and passing. It worked out well for us and I could see the same type of role for Tebow.
In 1999 Lucas did a pretty good job when he started towards the end of the season. I'm not saying Tebow should ever start a game but to give him a role similar to Ray Lucas back then could work out well. |

Yeah, I remember those million strong fans that were booing Vinny T at every incompletion and chanting we want Lucas every game.
Tebow and Lucas are nothing like each other. Lucas could throw and didn't have a nation of fans. Tebow can't throw yet still has a legion of supporters that will be coming in droves to see him play. |
Don't listen to this troll Joe W. Namath; he's still mad about Pennington.
The lockout had plenty to do with the Jets problems; Sanchez suffered visibly more than the other players. He still increased his TD production and ran 6 in. That's better than The World's Greatest Human, Chadwick T. Pennington. Sanchez has plenty of talent; you show how hopelessly in love with Chad you are by making superficial, facile complaints of Sanchez and tossing it out on the strip like you had a royal clue.
Is it okay to call JWN a troll and not get in trouble? 'CAUSE I AGREE WITH YOU. I can't believe he's continously on his knees in front of Tebow while shoving his boot up Mark's backside out the door at the same time. :nono: He's been infected with Tebow-itis by those fanatical Tebow-ites out there it seems. If I can provide a bit of irony here : I pray for him. :P |
This could go down as the WORST move in this team's history and that is saying a lot. Great job by the NY JETS of sabotaging Mark Sanchez career. I would love to see Sanchez demand a trade right now and stick it up Woody, Tanny, and Rex' ass right now. What a joke this organization is........
You're the far seeing astronomer...looking into the future; past the ill fated starting of #15...I see that Sanchez returns as a starter and comes in for the stretch run and the humbled Tebow runs the wildcat and shuts up. Now we're ready for Jets football. And we win the superbowl. I see that; I so see that...clearly. Look, right there. |
