Kareem Mckenzie -another prodigial son
He still is FA, perhaps he also would not mind going home.
On a cheap of course. P.S. Special note to JI spelling police - you are welcome, losers. |

Nice thought, but he's an older version of Hunter at this stage of his career. He's a mediocre run blocker and a terrible pass blocker now. I'd rather go through the draft or give Vlad a go than go that route.

Tebow will destroy the Jets. And I was right.

I'd like him back for depth and maybe an emergency starter plus he could bring a lot of positives to the locker room.

McKenzie was as bad or even possibly worse than Hunter last season. The Jets should have signed Eric Winston when he got cut and then drafted DeCastro to make the OL top notch again.

He had bad moments. One I remember being completely crushed by Seattle DE. But he still better then Hunter and at veteran minimum can be a good backup. |

Don't know him but since most of our Oline depth hasn't played even though they've been around since 2009-10 a veteran on the depth chart, plus a mentor to all these Oline "projects" sounds like a damn good idea to me! |

I think we can draft someone better in the third or fourth round. McKenzie was a liability on the Giant's OL last season.
no thanks to signing him |

I'd be OK with it. Obviously he'd be just an insurance policy to get us threw the year.

If I remember correctly Kareem McKenzie had some pretty harsh words when he left the Jets. Talked basically how they are a pathetic organization. Money always seems to win in these type of situations but if integrity means anything to the JETS (lol) they might not sign him on that alone.....

or maybe they might not sign him because he's not that good anymore as anyone who watched Giant games last year could see

McKenzie is a shadow of his former self but still has some fuel left in the tank. If he could be signed for a veteran minimum FA contract I have no problem brining him in for depth. Woody was not much better than McKenzie when we brought him in a few years ago and we got some decent play for our money.

Glenn or Adams in rd 1 please.
No more underwhelming defensive players in rd 1. If we don't pick a bust like D-Rob or Gholston we get JAG's like Thomas, Wilson and Mo-Wilkes. Last edited by detjetsfan; 03-26-2012 at 10:34 PM. |
