If so....he's lucky, these dudes just turn chicks around and bang away.

It was a time of men, ale and bangin away. No explaining things to angry wives.

Sweet.

Get used to it. Martin has a way of killing off significant characters.

So this show is good? I haven't seen an episode. Should I jump on the bandwagon tonight?

Yeah, do it. I had no interest in this genre but this series is excellent.

Me too, think of this as a really old godfather movie, families at war, etc.

With some dragons, but not too much.

George Martin is a Bayonne NJ boy and I think he hangs his hat somewhere in Seattle nowadays. In other words 100% garden variety domestic.

The books are excellent although somewhere along the way Martin became more interested in doing the fan convention thing as visiting royalty rather than finishing up the damned book series. I think it was maybe seven or eight years between the last two books. With so many significantly different story arcs I am just a little skeptical that he will ever manage bring it to a satisfactory conclusion.

The midget thing may indeed be a conspiricy. We may want to have sg3 look into that.
