When I went to Yankee Stadium in my Brady shirt I was greeted with warm hugs and well wishes.

The fan base that chanted "Munson sucks" at Fenway after he died in a plane crash. A fan base that sings their anthem "Yankees suck" at Celtics games and bar mitzvahs.

I'm not really upset, just curious. I can see the historical significance of Yankee Stadium and would never make comments about deporting their Latin players or saying anything about their fans on a day they were celebrating. Seems odd to me is all. No biggie.

Um, hate to break it to you FF, this in not 9/11, X-mas, D-Day, or any other solemn occasion. If you were looking for reverence on this special day for Fenway, maybe a BOSTON based site is more appropo!

I started this thread as a goof, busting some chops, having a good time. You taking it so seriously in not my problem. I'm a huge Yanks fan and took the afternoon off to watch the game. I'm not concerned with protecting the historical sanctity of this momentous day.
