Cost of Steven Jackson

I just read on Rotoworld that Steven Jackson is looking for a new contract, and with the talk of Rams being very interested in Trent Richardson and enough ammo to trade up if that's the case, he is a candidate to be traded or released. Obviously the Rams would like to get something out of him rather than release him, and I would absolutely love to see him in green and white. He's one of my favorite RBs, just a tough as nails runner plus great receiver out of the backfield and extremely consistent. My question is what would it take to trade for him? This would make us much more flexible in drafting since we wouldn't have to worry about grabbing a back in the first 3 rounds. What do you it would cost to acquire him?

Like the player, but frankly not worth cost of a draft choice plus the contract.... simply put, you can draft a running back in round 5 and strike gold at a reasonable financial cost...

pass he is really good but he is football old and that body has taken a beating in st. louis. Would rather try to land wilson in the 2nd or ideally the 3rd.

Not to mention he has averaged 305 carries per season over his 7 year career.

Steven Jackson is a monster. A flat out monster. Has been on one of the worst teams pretty much his entire career. He's been the only threat pretty much for the Rams in the last 5 seasons and defenses still can't manage to stop him. However, he's been a workhorse for quite a while and his time might be coming to an end.

I'll take him, though. We can use him and get a good 2-3 years out of him.

depending on his contract but I would only do it for a 5-6 round pick maybe throw in bart to help even out some of the monies if it even does.

To much wear and tear. Draft Wilson or another back in round 2.

I am hoping he makes it to rd 3 and we can get him there even though I want defense 1-3 rounds.

Given what we pay to Revis, Sanchez and company I am guessing we can only afford a quality running back in their rookie contract. In a pass driven league paying a RB major money in his second or third contract along with a pick does not work. Ride Shonn Greene to the end of his rookie contract and keep drafting RB's on the second day.

He'll go to New England and compile 1800 all purpose yards and 12 touchdowns.

Not someone you'd want to trade for.

Wait for him to be released, then sign him to a 1 year incentive laden contract.

He's a fine RB that's carried the show in St Louis but prolly too expensive and on the downside of his career

If we make a big trade I'd rather going to Atlanta to get Roddy White.
