The World Trade Center is Back!!

Although we can never forget what happened on 911, its nice to see the re-birth of the World Trade Center. Today 1 WTC surpassed the Empire State Building to become the tallest building in New York. While it will never be the same, its good to have it back as NYC's Tallest.

I worked in tower one for 4 years..... in the 80's.

Have great memories but now,

I would be apprehensive...and I hate that.

My step-dad has been working for the local IBEW for a year now on the structural steelwork.

I'm gonna go ask him for $20k.

I still remember watching the Towers going up as a kid and they were always special to me. When the Freedom Tower opens, I plan to go up it as soon as I can.

I'm heading down the the Memorial this week with my parents, who are visiting from Florida. I've been there before and it was very well done.

And of course, we will never forget.

It's been a pleasure to watch the building really emerge in the skyline over the past year. Every week, a little more. Good stuff. Better late than never.

reminds me of a Howard Stern bit complaining about illegals. He said we should remove the torch from the Statue of Liberty and put up the middle finger.:D

You are correct but the new structure represents the resilience of the US, occasionally knocked down but never out. I'm hoping that part of the reason that we built an even taller building was to serve as a big pork bellied infidel FU to the Al Qaeda pvssies.

+ infinity

the current WTC is ridiculous; donald trump was right; the original towers should have been rebuilt even better and it should have been completed years ago
