People assume Lloyd is young... He isn't. He won't be in the league in a few years... Holmes will...
I realize Lloyd is not young. 31 right? I also figured I would get that understandable response, but what use is Santonio's age and skillset when the only thing he is consistent at is being a malcontent? At that point the comparison in age becomes absolutely irrelevant to imo. |
Yeah, i think out of that group, those are the two most likely not to make it. Never though i would say this, but i would like to know our resident pat fans' opinion on who's gonna make it ;)
Stallworth, Gonzo and Branch are battling for one spot, IMO. The rest are virtual locks. |

Lloyd is 30. He will be 31 in July. He should be in the league in a few years. He won't be around as long as Holmes will be unless Holmes doesn't prove his one great season in Pittsburgh wasn't a fluke and he stops being a locker room cancer. Then he will be out of the league in a few years for another reason. |

Maybe, but I think Ocho would be a lock over Branch and Stallworth as well, so I think he's making the team regardless. |
And yet, the Pats have four WRs who had more yards than the Jets' #1 WR last year. Welker, Lloyd, Gaffney, and Branch all had more than the 654 yards Santonio Holmes last year. In fact, if Welker, Lloyd, or Gaffney were on the Jets and put up the same numbers last year with the Jets; they all would have been the leading receiver for the Jets.
The Pats currently have 5 receivers (Gronk, Hernandez, Welker, Lloyd, and Gaffney) who got over 900 yards receiving last year. The Jets have zero. Too bad you are ignoring this or it would really burn your britches.
LMAO DON'T SAY BAD THINGS ABOUT MY PATRIOTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Branch is small, old, can't create seperation anymore and disappeared for entire games last season. I'd rather roll the dice with Ocho in hoping that he gets a clue this offseason.

Yeah, I kinda agree with you. If Ocho can show he has learned the playbook, he is a lock over those guys. If he shows during the preseason that even after an entire offseason he still can't get the playbook, he is gone. I still think the thing that held Ocho back most last year was his inability to learn the playbook on the fly. Hopefully, with an entire offseason with time to workout one on one with Brady for more than 30 minutes in practice will help him get it. |

Ocho Cinco SUCKS
Deion Branch 51 90 702 Chad Ochocinco 15 32 276 He had less than a catch a game? HOW MANY ****ING YEARS DOES HE NEED TO LEARN THE GODDAMN PLAYS? Gaffney is a lock, Brady loves him and he knows the system. He had nearly 1,000 yards for the horrible Redskins. Last edited by FF2®; 05-03-2012 at 11:44 AM. |

Branch beat him out last year and is a harder worker. It is not like Ocho is younger so this comment makes no sense to me. Stallworth is faster and at least younger then both. Ocho is a lock to be cut IMO. Branch and Gaffney will be the 2 fighting it out for the 5th spot in all reality. Gonzo IS a lock. He is much younger and has a much higher up side then anyone other then Wes on this team. NEs WR core sucks big ones IMO. |

Lloyd is a joke. The rest are below average and/or aging duds. They make Holmes, Hill, Kersley look like a dream team. Brady's wife was right to complain about that sad group. |

Gonzo is not a lock because he isn't a lock to play ever again. Gaffney will likely be the #3 WR behind Welker and Lloyd. The guy was the leading receiver on the Redskins last year and has actually had two of his best years the last two years. Ocho is up in the air depending on how he learns the playbook or not. If he gets it, he will be a lock to the team. If not, Stallworth will likely get his spot. Overall the Pats' receiving corp is good, not great beyond the starters. But they don't need to be with two of the best TEs in the league and Brady's ability to make chicken salad out of chicken sh*t WRs. |
