Dude, I'm about to go Jets Things for you in this thread. :eek: I had no idea.

Siamese Dream is my favorite album of all time and aside from my Lollapalooza 2 (Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, etc.) stub my keepsake is a ticket stub from the November 9, 1993 show when I was about 20 yards from Kurt Cobain during the In Utero tour (yup, 5 months later....dead).

i would givee anything to have my college years of 1992-1996 and that music back! Sprinkle AIC, Nirvana, Soundgarden, PJ and Pumpkins with some Temple of the Dog, Chili Peppers, Weezer, Breeders, Garbage, Hole, and others.. I'd stay up for a 24 hour playlist.

That's it, tailgate....beer time....pick the game. You'll sit next to me in 246. Bring Betsy! We'll rock out to 90's alt music and the Jets will win!

Back to the music, why can't both era be equally awesome? I grew up on Stones, Beatles, et al but loved the early 90s grunge period as a young adult. Put it this way: Lock me in room playing either, endlessly, you'll never hear me complain.

The only time I was ever in a mosh pit was at an Offspring concert in that time period. We were close by and a buddy of mine decided to go into the pit. He's about 5'10" / 145 lbs.

Some guy that out weighed him by a good 60 lbs (my size at the time) absolutely laid him out. I was laughing my ass off. Then when he got up, the same guy laid him out again. It was pretty damn funny to watch and I had warned him not to go into the pit.

As my buddy was getting up, slightly dazed from the alcohol and getting pummeled, I saw the guy lining up to the guy blindside him. Just before he was about to crash into my buddy while he wasn't looking, I handed my beer to my (ex) wife and ran into the pit and drove a shoulder into the guy and knocked him on his ass.

He got up, gave me a pissed off look and lined himself up for a good run at me. To be honest, I wasn't really in the mood for it. I was definitely a good 10 years older than anyone else in the pit and the only reason I went in was to get my buddy out alive. :D

Anyway, the doosh came flying toward me intent on exacting some revenge and again, I delivered a hit to him so hard that his legs came out from underneath him and he landed flat on his back in some obvious pain.

I helped him up, he laughed and shook my hand and I got out of the pit before some other doosh decided to put the old man in traction. :ontome:

The show itself was actually really good. I went back to college full time when I was 26 in 1991 and was living in a dorm Monday through Friday. So I was hearing all of that music a lot and always liked it.
