Revis ended his holdout in 2010 after getting a frontloaded four-year deal. He made $32.5 million over the first two years but is now scheduled to make only $13.5 million over the final two. He wants the deal renegotiated again and has said he is unsure if he will report to training camp on time.

Myers reports that as part of the contract, if Revis holds out again, the Jets can extend the deal for three more seasons at a reasonable cost. But if Revis finishes the contract, the team cannot use its franchise tag on him. He needs to weigh his options and decide his best plan of action. He does not seem worried about the Jets’ reaction.

don't do it trade his ass and get players in here that want to be on a team...........if you pay that much to revis then will you be ok with not landing any FA's for 2 seasons at least.......:steamin:

I'm threw with this guy, I never fully recovered from his 1st holdout, let along his 2nd and now his possible 3rd.

His legacy with Jets fans will be all the holdouts and me 1st attitude.

trade him asap. He`s the biggest CANCER the Jets can have. I would trade him for as much as the Jets can possibly get for him at this point. He is tarnished. Other owners see what he truly is(greed driven corporation)and may not even touch him with a 10` pole. The Jets should`ve traded him after his first holdout where he didn`t honor his contract. That there was a sign to move him at top dollar/trade value. The Jets did not win a SB anytime recently without him, and they certainly have not won a SB with him.

Trading him is not the solution, unless we were offered like 3 1st round picks!!

But this isn't Madden so, the best we can do is keep re-negotiating.. Besides Tanny can bring down the Hammer with that 3 year hold-out clause.:yes:

which is exactly why he will not do it...........He wants to be paid more not less it does not matter length of contract for him it is all about money............Now 8 yrs 120 m he might do.

This is a risky but potentially lucrative option for Revis. Although, how old will he be in two years, 30? He's probably one final big deal for 5 or 6 years somewhere.

why does it even have to be draft picks get a couple good CB's paired with cro and the giants, pats, eagles, bears all showed you don't need shut-down CB's to win or get to a SB just a nasty nasty defensive line and good rest of defense is all you need...........Sometimes you get lucky like the 85' bears or 00' ravens who had everything.

Another story about a hold out that isn't a hold out that brings the same tried and true moronic replies to a guy who isn't holding out or hasn't said he will hold out.

Enough with people thinking he's selfish and that he's a team killer and working backward from there.

He's done nothing more than what any and every player does when he can and every single player in his locker room is behind him for doing so.

His cap hit has never reached $12M.

In 2013, it goes down to $9M.
