Belmont Stakes
Has anyone ever been to the Belmont Stakes before?
I'm contemplating going, but want to get some info about tickets, seating, if it's fun, etc |

If you want to sit be ready to pay via stubhub, or get there VERY early and team up w someone to save benches. Be prepared to wait in long lines for food, beer, restrooms and bets. I went for Smarty Jones and beer sold out in many areas.

So you can't booze AT ALL in the parking lot? My friend has a giant tour bus / RV and is promoting a new product. I'm wondering if we can bypass any "searches" or at least be able to booze inside the RV during the day. Otherwise, sounds like a ghey time I will be having. Anyone care to clarify this for me? Was coming home from the Bronx last night and all of a sudden, the traffic stops dead on the CIP not far from Little Neck Bay. We were like "WTF"! All of a sudden we start seeing pieces of plastic and fiberglass all over the road. Then there it was....a fricken huge boat on a trailer with the whole upper part of the boat sheared off and like 8 other cars stopped on the side with people standing all around. Dont know what he hit...as it was not far off the Thoggs neck and I dont recall a low bridge before the LIE exit...maybe the Crocheron pedestrian bridge? Anyhoo...surrealistic. |

What if Stokes went.
He could be a jockey. Belmont Stokes. Or instead, made delish steaks in the parking lot. It could be Belmont Steaks. Or Belmont Stokes' Steaks. People would be jockeying for position for them. As long as they wuz beef. "I'll have another please" "Sorry we used him up an hour ago" Last edited by Jungle Shift Jet; 06-09-2012 at 11:19 AM. |

Green and white fiberglass everywhere, plastic and glass, and hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, assorted food everywhere. Someone's Jets trailer detached and exploded all over the road. The funny thing was that no one was stopped on the side of the road. It was like the guy saw the trailer disappear in his rear-view and was like, "**** it, if we pull over we'll miss the game" |
