Mets to re-sell Santana no-hitter tickets

My wife is a huge Mets fan and was at Santana's no-hitter. She is absolutely pissed off about this because they are offering to sell every seat again including the seat she sat in.

Mets to re-sell no-hitter tickets

Want to claim you were at Johan Santana's no-hitter even though you did not attend?

The New York Mets are selling tickets from the game for $50 a pop, but limiting it to four per customer.

Season-ticket holders will receive a complimentary reprint of their ticket.

The tickets go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. ET at mets.com. In all, each of the 41,922 seats in Citi Field will be reprinted for sale.

"Fans can select a seating category and receive the best available seat in that location," the team said in a statement.

The Mets aren't the first team to give a special game this sort of treatment.

The Marlins re-sold tickets to Roy Halladay's perfect game in 2010, when he pitched the Philadelphia Phillies to a 1-0 win, selling over 3,000 tickets in the first four hours of their release.

I guess this makes sense. Since they can't sell tickets to actual games, might as well try selling them past games.

Sign me up for two to the '86 World Series.

Well I guess Phillies fans were buying... Money is money lol...

I can see why someone who attended the game would be pissed, but hoenstly, I'd rather they do whatever they can to generate revenue and sign David Wright long term...

Proof you just can't win.....for 3 days all I hear is how the Mets should sell the remaining tickets because fans would like one for memorabilia's sake. Then when they actually do so, the fans ***** that they are. Whatever.

The Mutts should do whatever they can to make money. Once they fade in Bolivian in a few weeks, all is lost anyway. Strike while the iron is hot.

Not a bad idea. My prized possession (that I have framed in my office) are two tickets to the Jets 2010 Super Bowl...autographed by Rex of course.

I'm saving my dough for the Johan Santana commemorative bat complete with facimile signature and 360 degree image of Johan delivering the final pitch. Only 2012 will be made.

No, that would be the Yankee way. And some poor bastards with a minimum wage job would actually put money into Steiner Sports pockets and think they were making a wise investment.

Brother Ernie, listen to the FAN.

This isnt a diabolical conconction of a twisted Met haters imagination.

The bat exists, and is for sale. 2012 of them exactly...as I described. Its an actual commercial on 15 minute rotation on the prime FAN shows.

The bat, the unsold tix up for sale....exist.

Apparently, the "Met way" has a new face.

Sorry brother, this must pain you.
