+1 to what SAR said, and kudos on the watches. Really nice, guys.

White watches are teh ghey, ceramic, platinum or otherwise. White is a wimmens color, just like cars.

Saw a mid-size used Aqua Terra for sale, thought of you right away. It sold in a flash.
Aww thanks.

I am going to wait for my year end bonus and then take the plunge:yes:

It's amazing how far you can stretch a public sector pension.

I really like the new line of Bell&Ross vintage pilot watches -- the standard one and the pocket watch iteration. That pocket watch is gorgeous.

JW, I like the mesh bracelet on that Seamaster. Nice touch.
It's a military thing. Grandpa is 92 still wears his watch face in. Says he did it in the war so the sun wouldnt glare off of it and give his position away.
I used to wear 2 (GPS & watch), but the Foretrex fixed that. I also have the dial turned in because i destroy the dial by smashing into everything when it's faced out.

Kudos to your Grandfather.

Thank u thank u...I would try to get more stories from him but his mind is pretty much gone now. But taking care of his house means instead of rent I can buy some game tix!
LMAO, yea I'm salt of the earth!

I'll spam the thread with my (small) collection, I guess. Changing the straps often (as I do) really adds a new look to a lot of watches. I'll spare you all the multiple shots of the same watch on different dead animals.

The DOXA and Seiko are my current beaters (along with a G-Shock). Just got a Seiko aviator watch, too. The two on mesh have Omega bracelets that go with them, as well as some nice OEM rubber straps. The vintage gold one has a stainless (not pictured) counterpart with a textured silver dial. I split about 12 different straps between them. The first one has about 8 different straps, from brown alligator to a perfect blue crocodile. Next up for me will be my first Breitling, the Superocean Heritage 42.
Even though I don't wear a watch, I would wear the **** out of any of those - but only if someone else would buy it.

That Aqua Terra is discontinued. My version doesn't come up for sale too often, but the non-chronograph pops up now and again.

I have the original bracelet, along with the OEM rubber.

Speaking of fancy watches, I was at a wedding last month and a guy was wearing a Patek. Never saw one in the flesh before. Basically the equivalent of wearing a nice new car on your wrist.
Meh. I need a pretty face.
