Oh, of course. The Jets are giving him one more shot and therefore I will root for him with all of my heart and soul to succeed.

I just know it won't work out and, yes, I have already given up on him.

I would be VERY surprised if he lasts the entire season.
But the question remains who do you like better Mcknight or Ducasse???
Ducasse I like plenty. He's a nice kid who just so happens to be a failure. It happens to everyone. He at least tried and he failed.

McKnight on the other hand, I do not like. I think he's a punk. I think he's in it for the money. When he gets lazy before the biggest opportunity of his life, what are you left to think?

Even moreso, after he's given that chance, he decides to gain weight by pigging out on McDonald's. This, while knowing that today's athletes must work out and stay in shape 365 days a year to stay competitive for their jobs.

And as for his limited success last season? I credit Mike Westoff for that. If Westoff was a cook, he could make a four star meal out of pine cones. He's that good. After all, look what he did with Justin Miller. Miller was a bum, a complete waste of a 2nd round pick and Westoff managed to salvage a decent ST's player from the ashes.

It goes even farther toward proving my point when you look at Miller's career after leaving the Jets. He did absolutely NOTHING, natta, zilcho, zippo. Whatever slang word happens to fit the best, you place it right into the sentence.

I liken McKnight to be of the same mold. The difference is, McKnight actually posesses athletic skill and he chooses to be lazy. Justin Miller wasn't nearly as athletic as McKnight.

Either way it works out to the same result. McKnight will soon enough get cut by the Jets and after that happens? You won't hear another word out of the loser.
No I don't have a problem with that. We obviously would not have used a 2nd round pick on a guy that was going to take 3 years to develop into a starter. I'm only saying that he may yet develop. He has the potential, and we've invested greatly in him. So basically we have people arguing two different points here. I agree that the people that say he was still a good pick where he was, are delusional, but they don't bother me nearly as much as the belligerent ones, and a case could be made that it's the people that say he's a piece of **** that cause the over reactions. You know he's a real live person, and a member of the Jets. Think about how much offense I take from this, then think about all the people that visit this site for the first time, and never want to come back again because of the attitudes of some of the more persistently derogatory(using the term lightly) people on this site. I think the same personal attack rules should apply to our players as to the members. Those guys need to tone down their rhetoric.[/QUOTE]

Oh, I'm sorry. Maybe all of the players and those offended fans should go live in a sound proof bubble? Where they can have cookies and milk all day and stroke each other?

Is it actually registering with you what you are typing? NFL players get criticized. If it isn't us as Jets fans, CERTAINLY you could see that someone else would, right? Maybe the Patsy fags that hang around here?

I've got news for you. NFL players get criticized. Get over it. For NFL players, it goes with the territory of making large amounts of money.

People pay enormous amounts just to go and be entertained by their team. When their team plays like sh!t, they get upset because they are NOT being entertained. Especially when they KNOW the team was stupid to draft a kid devoid of any real OL talent and yet they still have to watch the guy each and every Sunday. They want things to change. They want their team to play better. That's called reality.

And I've got some other news for you also. Just because I choose to criticize the team where it is needed, doesn't make me any less of a Jets fan than you. Depite what you may think, I am every bit Jets fan as you'll ever be.

I have watched this team since I aware of what was going on around me. I watched the mud bowl in horror when the Dolphins picked off Richard Todd's sideline pass to pretty much seal the win for the Dolphins. I watched Mark Gastineau commit the dumbest penalty in NFL history leading to the Jets snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in Cleveland. I watched Andre Tippett hit Ken O'Brien with a cheap shot helmet to helmet well after O'Brien had thrown the ball. I watched Kenny O go off the field for good in the 1985 wild card game leading to our 26-14 loss. I watched the Jets blow a commanding 10-0 lead in the third quarter of the 1998 AFC Championship.

None of those losses have conditioned me to the way I am now. But it has made me well aware of how mistake prone they've been in the past.

Vladimir Ducasse? Just another mistake in a very long list of Mistakes.

so Uncle Angry, why don't you just log off and go shoot some more fawns, puppies, kittens and other innocent baby animals

that would be way better than your continuing long winded diatribes on how much you hate just about every Jet player and coach from your home PC in NEW ENGLAND, home of your beloved patriots

So you call me Uncle Angry? Meanwhile you are the one going into personal attack diatribes.

If you are not the textbook example of the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is.

As for the personal attack allegation..... calling you an innocent animal murderer is certainly not a personal attack since you display a picture of just how much you love to do it right there on your signature picture...

but nevermind.... you, your signature picture and your porn stache have now joined rextilleon on the list of SOJF posters who I will no longer be reading posts from

What you post after we blow a 10 point lead is a different story than what you post in June...well it should be. I like 3 days to blow off steam, after a game, even a month after we are eliminated, but it's June... It's not the ferocity of the attacks, but the constant barrage that gets to me. I'm not picking you out as especially grievous, but you have been on edge lately.

Well, I apologize to you if I don't meet your expected criteria of what a Jets fan is supposed to be.

I am a Jets fans. Just a different type of fan than you are.

Just the same, I respect you and your opinion. I don't believe it coincides with reality, but I respect you right to post it on the board.
