I was young and my parents wouldn't let me see his standup but I remember setting up the cassette recorder when they would watch so I'd have the audio To listen too and trade stuff for it in school. Good memories

There were three blank responses, which threw me off. I just wanted to say that I was there at the Tweeter Center for that infamous performance. I think I was hyperventilating for ten minutes straight. I thought my one friend was going to die from laughing so hard. The best part is what led up to that moment. Most of the comics that came before him really gave horrible performances, which is why everybody was booing all night long leading up to Bill Burr. That show was a train wreck for the most part (I recall Norton and Morgan being ok) until Bill Burr had his meltdown.

I know this thread is more about particular comedy routines but does anyone remember when Rodney Dangerfield used to have those young comedian specials on HBO?

The one from 1987 was great. It starred Dangerfield, Lenny Clarke, Andrew Dice Clay, Bill Hicks, Dom Irrera, Carol Leifer, Robert Schimmel & Barry Sobel.

All of them did relatively short routines but it was some incredibly funny sh!t.

Here is Schimmel's routine:

One of my favorite shows ever.

I watched that with my Dad and he almost crapped his pants laughing at the Andrew Dice Clay routine. Old Mother Cupboard lived in a shoe, she had some many kids...her uterous fell out.

I loved that show--Clay, Irrera and Schimmel were great.

Btw, my brother dated Carol Leifer in High School, took her to the senior prom. She had big cans.

I miss those 'traveling virus' shows. Great night of comedy for an unbeatable price.
