Where's my remote?

2 days and counting. All the usual places have been checked - sofa cushions, under the sofa, ledges, mantles, even the refrigerator (yeah, it was found in there once

).

Any ideas? Ready to file a missing remote report with :usedtobeacop:!

My wife puts them by the tv. That defies the entire purpose for having remote controls. And I look like an idiot for 10 minutes before actually looking at the tv.

And it has nothing to do with the placement of the remote.
