Five Pats rookies fail physicals

LOL..great draft picks ha !!

Patriots rookies reported to Gillette Stadium at 8 a.m. Thursday to get training camp under way, and five players promptly made a poor impression by way of reportedly failing their physicals. Howard Balzer of SiriusXM NFL radio, among other outlets, reported via Twitter that seventh-round draft pick Jeremy Ebert, a wide receiver, plus undrafted players Justin Francis, a defensive lineman, receiver Matt Roark, and offensive linemen Jeremiah Warren and Markus Zusevics failed their physicals. It could be that the players didn't pass the team conditioning test, which is pretty tough: 20 timed sprints of 60 yards (skill players), 50 yards (tight ends, fullbacks, and linebackers), or 40 yards (linemen).

this sort of report would be meaningless and dumb if reported about the Jets by Dick Semen-i and the rest of the jackasses

It is just as dumb and meaningless now about the Pats -- especially when the 5 players are a 7th round pick and four camp fodder UDFAs

So they will only win 13 games this year instead of 14.

Too funny. You're crowing about a 7th rounder and 4 UDFAs failing a tough conditioning drill.

Ya, big news there. Pats' are doomed.

Ok so players selected in the 7th round (and later) failed to meet the high standard that the pats are known for..

Notify me when Brady retires or if Gronk's d!ck falls off while he is inside some pornstar.

Until then, nothing is changing for the Pats.

Pats blather aside, these conditioning drill's cant be a big secret. How many guys get a chance like this? What else are they doing in their spare time?

It amazes me.

Those guys were UDFA's, no? Yea, this is a non-story.

I, for one, am sick of this jealousy my fellow Jets fans show towards the Pats.

I don't know what the deal was with the free agents but the 7th rounder (Ebert) got injured during rookie camp so I think this was expected. He's been put on PUP. I can't tell you about the other guys but like most are saying, it's a non-issue.

Dump. I thought it would maybe at least a 5th rounder or something. This is ridiculous.

This was my first thought... the guys who failed the tests are the guys struggling for the chance of a lifetime, to be on an NFL roster... and THEY'RE the ones who failed the conditioning test? Shouldn't they have a foreknowledge of what that test involves and spend every waking hour practicing to pass it?? They were drafted and/or signed by an NFL team, it's not like they weren't physically capable of it.

This is bigger than people think. What happened to the gravitas of Belichick? He must have told his players to spend the offseason working out, and FOUR of them (I won't count the one who was injured) failed their conditioning test? I'm not saying he's losing his team, but he doesn't have them how he used to.
