Prust signs with Montreal

Brandon Prust signed a 4 year 10 mil contract with the Canadiens...

Rangers signed Aaron Asham as a replacement for 2 mil for 2 years and also reportedly signed former Islander Micheal Haley to a contract...

Rangers also resigned Stu Bickle to a 2 year contract.....

I don't think the Rangers wanted to give Prust $2M much less $2.5M.

I liked him but not at that price.

I think Asham was a good signing as his replacement.

I read the Rangers were also interested in Jesse Winchester.

I'm pretty sure Nash or Ryan will be a Ranger fairly soon.

Not happy about that at all.....Haley provided great energy when they put him in the lineup. I have no idea why the Islanders insisted on going with do nothing vets like Reasoner and allowed Haley to languish in Bridgeport. And Asham is a nice blue collar player as well - will do well in Prust's role.

I'm not sure why I am even upset at losing players, its not like the Islanders have any chance of keeping someone desireable.
