Jets place S Landry on active/PUP list

And now it starts.

Ok, so I have an irrational dislike for this guy, starting with him promising to show for voluntary activities then not showing up. I know he was rehabbing but he could have shown up to learn the playbook and bond with the team. He has prima donna written all over him

Jets place S Landry on active/PUP list
Posted July 23, 2012 @ 5:50 p.m. ET
By PFW staff
The Jets placed four players on the active/physically-unable-to-perform list, including S LaRon Landry.
Joining Landry on the active/PUP list are rookies third-round LB Demaroio Davis, seventh-round WR Jordan White and OG Terrence Campbell.
Landry was placed on injured reserve last season with an Achilles’ tendon injury. The team announced that Landry has a foot injury and will continue rehabbing with Jets trainers, along with White, who broke his foot in OTAs.
Campbell and Davis strained their hamstrings doing conditioning runs. Players on active/PUP can’t practice until they are removed from that list.
Landry has missed a combined 15 games over the past two seasons because of injuries.

Should they really let Jim Leonhard walk and place our hopes in Eric Smith and a guy who trying to recover from experimental stem cell treatment?

At least it's a foot injury and not an achilles concern. My question is in regards to Demario Davis... When did he get hurt?

+1.

Isn't his contract per game or something like that? Hopefully this wasnt a costly experiment.

Leonhard anyone?

It won't be a costly experiment because his contract is laden with playing time incentives but the problem is...we need safety help if he's not able to play. Big time safety help.

If Leonhard is ready to play then yes, as long as Landry is on the PUP list he doesnt count towards the roster. I am sure Leonhard will not cost much at all.

Could the "unofficial" comment about not taking Leonhard back have been a negotiating tactic? I hope so.

many teams put players on the PUP at the start of training camp and they are ready by pre season.......sorry but I think the Jets have an idea how to run things.

Strained hammy is no big deal. Happens all the time but may be a sign that player didn't properly warm up before the conditioning test.

Just because he's currently hurt, doesn't mean it's an "achilles injury". You know, there are other football related injuries, you do know that, right? Before you go and accuse me of "naive", how about you first post (provide) me with a link stating that he's out for the season due to an achilles season ending injury.

2 mill guaranteed, + 100,000 per game that he is active, he does not have to play just be active.

Since when is a "hammy" in the foot?

There's NO reason to delay the process. Start Geno Smith.

And it begins. Please no Eric Smith at FS. Play Bush or Allen. Bell is a SS.

His injury last season was a foot injury, that has to do with the achilles or something. idk

I don't think veterans reported today, I think just rookies.

Davis is on the PUP list and hes day to day.
