I think the post was referring to Otah's situation...

I would also like to see the article that says that rehabbing players must be able to pass the conditioning test immediately returning from rehab.

Did he fail one? I have no idea, but I haven't seen it reported anywhere, never heard it mentioned on the radio.

Everyone knew he was still rehabbing his foot and hence the PUP.

But somehow that morphed into "he failed his condtioning test so he must have reported out of shape."

The guy is a workout freak, but yeah, maybe he came in fat and lazy.

Only Jet fans.

No, there's a thread on that.

Otah didn't fail a conditioning test, he failed a physical.

Why do Jet fans always need to make stupid stuff up?

Who are you referring to?

I would like to know as well.

I think we will get some answers when Rex has his presser. I am assuming he will have one today since it is the beginning.

Maybe, I don't know the rules, but since the Jets rookies reported the other day that started the Jets "roster clock" and since Landry hasn't been at FP / OTAs the Jets, to protect themselves, placed him on the PUP until Landry reported, which he wasn't required until today, to take his physical and test??

This is a thread about Landry--that's who I'm refering to.

I just don't understand why people jump to conclusions based on imperfect facts then run with it.

When exactly did Landry fail a conditioning test?

Pretty sure your post below started the misinformation. Not sure what you are referring to about a failed test.

Maybe his failed test was b.c of a technicality of something.

Hopefully Otah is a similar situation.

Bottom line, I am just glad he is in camp and will be able to participate.

Nobody jumped to conclusions.

I used the term "maybe" and the other person used "likely". Hardly definitive.

"Maybe"

I used "maybe" b.c I did not know. Never stated anything as fact.

But I apologize for the misunderstanding. Did not mean to spread misinformation, if that is what I did.

EDIT:

I see now. I meant to say maybe he failed a test but I wrote "Maybe his failed test". I didn't know if he even took one.

Sorry about that.

I recall the report saying that Landry was placed on the PUP list due to his "foot."

He never failed a conditioning test. I THINK the reason he was placed on PUP was because the Jets did not evaluate Landry during the off season. If everyone remembers he did not show up for off season OTAs and was rehabbing his injury on his own. The Jets were not going to make him active until their doctors got their hands on him and saw for themselves how healthy he actually was. He never failed a physical or a conditioning test because he wasnt given one until today.

That was my phuck up. I was asking a question and messed it up.

Stokes knows he didn't fail a test and was asking why I said that Landry did.

Yeah was just hoping this wouldn't spiral out of control like so many other non-issues or made-up issues here.

Some one inadvertanly and innocently says he failed a conditioning test and 6 pages later it's being spewed here as fact that he's a lazy POS that he can't even get into shape for the game he supposedly loves and he's just in it for the money and won't make it out of training camp and won't ever play another down of football in the NFL.

Guy is a beast of a workout guy, the last one I'm worried about failing a conditioning test. The only thing holding him back is his achillies rehab and NO one knows how that is. I wouldn't be surprised if Rex makes him sit periodically during camp to give the achillies a rest.
