Only 8 olineman and only three Ot's on the roster. JMO I think that cutting it pretty close . There is no room for injury of any kind to your oline.
JMO You can't neglect the trenches on both sides of the ball ,as that is where the game is still won and lost.

That means they can get significant rest even with only 6 DL - and they will want to keep 9 or ten LBs (the starters, plus Thomas [yeah, Maybin will start, IMO], Sapp, McIntyre, Davis, Bellore and possibly Mauga), which means they'll need to go light somewhere else.
This is how I build Madden Franchise teams, and I don't necessarily mean that as an insult! But I see zero reason to think Maybin can play 4-3 DE even in obvious passing situations. It's still a different beast than 3-4 OLB, and calls for a dimension Maybin hasn't shown.

But how many of his LBs could play DE? with those 6, Jets are 2 deep at 3-4 NT, 4 deep at 3-4 DE, 6 deep at 4-3DT, and (counting pace, thomas, Maybin and sapp) 6 deep at 4-3 DE. It's enough. The only real worry would be if Pouha or Ellis goes down, they'd need to bring in a backup NT. But to keep their LB depth (I think they like McIntyre and Bellore a lot; Mauga is on the bubble), that's a risk I bet they take

On third and long, he can line up in the wide 9 with his hand in the dirt. Not an issue. If you want to consider him a 3-4 OLB in that spot, I won't complain - but I can see the Jets setting up the DL-OL like this in obvious passing situations:

(M= Maybin; W= Wilk; C= Coples; S= Sapp)

----M-------W-C-------S
-------OT-OG-C-OG-OT-TE

Make the OTs engage wide, have Wilk and Coples attack the A gaps (between the Guard and Center, guaranteeing one of them a 1 on 1), and send Demario Davis or David Harris crashing the OG/OT gap between Wilk and Maybin.

You get a 1 on 1 on the outside for Maybin, pressure up the gut from the blitzing LB, and a 1 on 1 matchup inside for 1 of the DTS (or both, if the LG slides to pick up the blitzing LB)

Other than that, it's a pretty good looking list.
