T.O. signs with the Seahawks
Terrell Owens, Seattle Seahawks agree on contract
172 By Dan Hanzus Writer Published: Aug. 6, 2012 at 08:31 p.m. Updated: Aug. 6, 2012 at 10:22 p.m. At long last, Terrell Owens is back in the NFL. The veteran wide receiver agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks on Monday, according to NFL Network contributor and FOX Sports Insider Jay Glazer. The Seahawks laster confirmed the agreement but did not disclose the deal's length or value. Owens, 38, last played in the NFL in 2010 with the Cincinnati Bengals. He compiled nearly 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns that season, outplaying teammate Chad Johnson. But Owens suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament the following April and failed to attract any interest on the open market the next season. He landed a tryout with the Seahawks and impressed the team with a workout that included a reported 40 time of 4.45. Owens joins a Seahawks offense desperate for weapons and loaded with question marks at wide receiver. The team cut Antonio*Bryant on Sunday and signed veteran Braylon*Edwards last week. What Owens has done here is commendable. He took a NFL career that was flatlined -- deader than his ownership stake in the Allen Wranglers -- and brought it back to life through will and determination. Owens might not make the Seahawks' final roster, but he deserves our respect. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap100...headline_stack |

Sad part is who ever they end up cutting I bet 100 people on this site say sign the throw away. Rice, Baldwin, Tate, Edwards, Moss, Obomanu, Butler, and Kris Durham. At least 3 of them likely get the ax. We have already had thread on Williams and Bryant.

Even at 38 TO may have a more productive season than any WR on our roster! Sad but true.
