Reading the comments on CNN makes me thankful I only talk Poli-Sci here.

Is "far right punk band" a nice way to say he's in a band that espouses white supremacy?

yes: skinheads, Nazis - that's the tie-in. All Republicans are Nazis.

Tea Party Republicans are like SUPER Nazis.

Apparently the shooters name is Wade Michael Page. I just heard on ABC news that there is a Michael Page who posted something on a TEA Party forum in Wisconsin 8 months ago. Also there is a Michael Wade that signed up for the TEA Party patriots in Iowa. They are checking to see if there is a connection. Stay tuned...

So even though we can't confirm it yet, this means the Tea Party is connected with mass murderers AND voter fraud? Promise me you'll keep on top of this ominous development, chief!

CNN on top of their game.

CNN plays 'Only The Good Die Young' outro after Sikh temple segment.

Its interesting; I can cite and link countless stories where the media (all of it, fox, cnn, cbs, msnbc etc) has used the term far left when describing a terrorist attack or terrorist, in general, either domestic or foreign. So why is it a shock for some to think that far-right politics can be a cause as well? I guess its fits a narrative for some; far-left people are dangerous and real yet far-right extremists are created by (insert here; media, Obama, Soros, boogeyman)

Terrorists are extremists, fools with a cause, so I don't understand why people would think extreme political views would not play a roll in these horrific situations. Context matters because it can be used as a learning tool to help understand the why and how of these situations. What the media does beyond that will determine whether they inflame the situation.

FAR left and FAR right are both FAR off their rockers. This does not and should not have to do with politics.

Anyone with a functioning heart and equally strong mind should be disgusted that these people are being tied to the very political spectrum to which they belong.

Kind of reminds me of the folks who rail against FoxNews, but still believe that HuffPo, NBC and Think Progress are viable news organizations.

The guy's a Neo-Nazi. Why not just call him that much more accurate term than "far-right" which is extremely subjective?

I would be interested to see you cite examples when I said that HuffPo, NBC etc, are viable news organizations.

But hey, it sure looked like a snappy post when you typed it...

Let me ask you - if I actually went through with the exercise of creating a scorecard that adds up your number of posts attacking FoxNews vs. the number of those attacking any and all liberal outlets, how do you think that would work out? Or if I just counted the articles you've linked to a left's equivalent of Fox? You really think that's going to make your case?

no, the burden of proof is on you to make your case that I said those liberal outlets were viable news organizations. But I will save you the time and effort; you will not find it.

our main steam media is a farce meant to indoctrinate the masses. They excel in telling half-truths when they are not simply ignoring entire stories.

What I find hilarious are the people who think Fox News brings fairness and balance because they refuse to report biased, pro-liberal stories....by airing biased, pro-conservative stories.

Irony is totally lost on you.

Self-awareness. Maybe some day.
