I watched a little bit of shark week and it's amazing. Sharks are scary MFers.

We're seeing an explosion of Great Whites here on the Cape this summer. They say it's because of the growing seal population but last week the first ever was spotted in the Bay side, where there are very few seals, instead of the ocean side.

Arent you closer to the Bay side?

Perhaps this loner was looking for some gravy to go with his seals.

I read that it's mostly due to warmer currents flowing north and inland. Similarly, it's being attributed to marlin and wahoo being caught in fair numbers up here as well.

Who said global warming is a bad thing? Might result in a few less chowds.

Yes, I live on the bayside. But I'm not worried until this comes a knockin'....

5 fatal Great White attacks in a year here in Western Australia. Mainly surfers as to the sharks they look like seals. My nephew is over there surfing now, and frankly I think he's crazy, though he is a long-boarder which apparently makes a difference. Last fatal attack apparently was a 5 metre monster. Lets say I wouldn't like to get between it and its lunch.

Hey man, normally we don't use either metric or imperial - rather "it's [insert swearword] huge" as our measuring system. (and its almost 16 and a half feet anyway)
