Redoing Kitchen

So this has been a terrible experience. I'm gutting the kitchen and redoing everything. Took an unexpected 10 week delivery for cabinets to arrive (supposed to be 4-6 weeks). The demo guys fukced up my main water shutoff in the basement which caused the pipe to burst, luckily with minimal water leaking. Had to replace the pipe and reroute another in the kitchen.

The measurements for one side of the kitchen were wrong and had to redue them, (hopefully the cabinets fit properly).

Been living with my in laws house (FML) until this shlt is done. Waking up at 6 am every morning to come to the house, go to work at 4pm and come home at 12 all to do it again in the morning. Ghey.

Wow, that sounds like an ordeal, Dimitri. I did plenty of reno to my house and there were always problems. Part of the game, which sucks. Good luck. Take your frustrations out on some speeder (ideally who looks like your contractor) by throwing the book at him/her.

Been there. After the two month wait for cabinets, they were an inch too wide.

Ended up having to cut into the sheetrock to get the half inch on either side of the kitchen. It looks fine now, but it p*ssed me off to no end at the time.

Good luck, it will be worth it down the road.

In laws are not bad people. But it has been unpleasant at times when they barge in when I get out of the shower or when my father in law starts hammering outside at 7 in the morning on a Sunday.

Again FML.

Also my sprinkler system is fukced up and my grass died these past 2 weeks. Looks like shlt. God forbid my wife could water it
