Brady, Manning, Brees, Montana (KC), Young ... The parts around them switched to some degree and they still played great. The team might not have won .... But their play was consistent. |

I just rewatched the game, and while I may have not used the word excellent, outside the 1 horrible throw, Sanchez threw the ball well. The int was a very bad throw at a very bad time, a killer. His only other incompletion was a drop by Turner.
The amount of checkdowns was discouraging watching the game last night, but after watching it again, he didn't have much choice. The Giants were giving them that whenever they wated it, and were bottlig Hill and Keller all half. On the first Sanchez sack, they were taking a shot on 3rd and 3, and not one of the receivers beat his man of the bump at the line, at least initially. It also appeared he spotted Powell beating hs man down the sideline on another play, only to be sacked almost instantly after Powell broke lose. I'm not defending Mark, beucase the INT was a killer, just analyzing what my amateur eye saw. The Giants gave us whatever 3 yard pass we wanted, and dared Sancez to force something into something that wasn't there. He didn't, so that I'm ok with it, but our WR's need to get healthy, and get healthy fast, because the guys we are trotting out there right now are overmatched in what they are being asked to do. |

Glad you liked his performance .... Out of curiosity ... How many passes of 15+ yards did he complete ?

The parts around them switched to some degree but the talent never changed. Brady-Moss/ Welker Manning/ Harrison / Garson / Clark Brees/ Colston / Meachem Montana / Marcus Allen Young / Where exactly is the talent on offense that Mark Sanchez has played with constantly? 0. If you read my entire first post, you would have saw why I think that was. Can't complete 15 yard passes when the receivers aren't open 15 yards down the field.

Does anyone have a snap count for Hill with the 1st team from yesterday.
From what I saw, Turner and White were 1 and 2 on the depth chart for last night's game. |

I dont know the snap count but, I would much rather see Hill out there with Sanchez a lot more than Turner is.

Sanchez is slow in processing what is happening. After wanting to pick him years ago, am thinking his arm is strong enough, he's tall enough, he's a good kid, but he can't think at the level of a NFL QB. His decision making is weak at best. Check down, step up into sacks multiple times. His job is to at least look through the progressions, he did not. His job is to not get sacked, there were opportunites to dump the ball, he did not. His interception was because he was late in deciding to make the throw, by the time he makes the pass, the DB has inside position on the pass. He has to make that throw at the time of the beat. WR had position, but Sanchez waits another second. That's a long time in the NFL! Tebow thinks faster than Mark, but his arm is not good enough. I would trade both Tebow and Sanchez for a QB with arm and quick reaction times. |

Sanchez' play doesn't bother me. It's the rest of the offense that does.
It's gonna be a long season if they don't get this crap fixed quick. |
