Colon Suspended 50 games

Testosterone

Makes a lot of sense. He was 10-9 with an era under 3.5. Not bad at all for a guy who is a few months from 40 years old. Again, this is most likely a guy that knew his career was done but decided to come back and cheat with hopes to land one more small payday.

This is not good for baseball.

Maybe I chose the wrong set of words but It just sucks!! Especially in baseball with years and years being tainted. The penalty needs to be harsher. Like 100 games first time, next time you're gone. When the all-star MVP gets busted in a game that decided home field in the WS that's just terrible. I believe Conte when he says half the league is on it. I know it's not half but its still very much out there.

With the latter, that's exactly why I don't think it's necessarily bad for the league or that I find an issue with it...

I cared far more in college about it than I do now because now I'm just a fan... The only people that I think that have a right to care are the ones who played and didn't juice and the ones who still play and don't juice...

Maris' family shouldn't have had to cheer on McGuire, Aaron's family shouldn't have had to cheer on Bonds, etc...

Jeter shouldn't have had to start his career being in a constant comparison with Nomar...

But they've never really voiced disdain for it, as far as I know... It's only us (the fans) and the writers who really find it distasteful...

Just my 2 cents...

Quite a few players who've always been clean, care and find it distasteful. They're never going to voice their opinion so a story becomes of it but they most definitely find it distasteful.

And many minor leaguers care and find it distasteful as well. Especially the clean ones who were on the fast track to the show but were passed up by players with lesser talent but cheated.

I have always liked Colon but it was obvious when he was with the Yanks he was juicing. He was throwing mid 80s and was all but done and hadn't pitched good sense 05. Then he signs a league min contract with the Yanks in 2011 and 5 month later is a solid starter in the line up that held a 3.33 ERA up till mid August.
