When we lived on LI we would go every summer. We would rent a house with friends whose kids are close in age and we would have a blast. Kids loved it. Sucks that they get old and turn into know it all idiots. I am told they return from the idiocy to humans again later but this really sucks.

lol, that's one of the places we never took our kids, just never got the chance, and now they are too old for it.

Are you also visiting Dutch Wonderland as well?

Is Dutch Wonderland near Sesame Place?

We're taking my 5 year old son to Dutch Wonderland next month. I've never been there.

I took my son there a few times when he was into Sesame Street. He loved that place.

Never went there, but my brother took his family there last year, and said it was filled with unsavory characters. Also was filthy all around.

That's what I hear from everyone who's been. We refer to it as Coxsackie Place.

We went to Hershey Park in the spring and it was very clean. I had never been there before. I heard Dutch Wonderland is very clean too.

name reminds me of those 60's cheap roadside amusement parks for families who didn't want to shell out the big bucks for the big (read safe) parks.

there was one on Jericho Turnpike between Syosett and Huntington. That place was good for a fatality a year. A kid falling out of the ferris wheel rings a bell. ....the frequent "Closed for Repairs" sign.

I hear they are very close together, though I've never been to either. Heard much better reviews about DW though,

Yeah, I've heard the same things, which may have swayed me in not going there.
