We've had plenty of Rap/Hip Hop and oldie music threads. How about we try one for the metal freaks...(this thread will be on page 20 tomorrow night)

And let's try to keep it within the last 30 years, you geezers

I dig Moody's vocals...liked em alot when he was with Motograter.

A "love" song by 5FDP (she spilled his beer. She got what was coming)

Yeah man, when I just started in the music business I was working in Rock Promotion at Elektra Records, we had Motograter on the label, also had Pantera, Metallica and AC/DC...

I've always been into Metal and Rock N Roll..... If you guys like Metalcore, you should check out the band Bring Me The Horizon. It's the Future of METAL!!!

When I worked for Atlantic, all those bands except for Metallica were under Atco, a subsidiary of Atlantic. I left around the time that Atco was merged into East West. I didn't realize until now that all those bands were moved into Elektra (and now back into Atlantic). Just a fluid industry.

In the spirit of Time Warner bands, I must include the Deftones.

Yob's not fast and hard and coming at you bashing your skull in with a sledge hammer, like a Lamb in God. But is slow and heavy and crushes you like a black hole.

This one has some cool ass art work going on.

HOLY SH*T! I completely forgot how good these guys were... Artwork. Half of their songs are like 9 minutes long and they are truly art. Turn this up. LOUD.
And not only is the musicianship stellar, they have great lyrics.

Yeah, Through Silver In Blood was a great album. I think I remember liking Souls At Zero best.
I used to listen to Tribes Of Neurot a lot too... Weird spacey stuff.
