I'd much rather see what Kerley and White can do. There's no place for that dude on this team. It would be like Mason all over again.

Let the young guys play. I don't want to stunt the growth of the youngsters for some old has been.

If we can sign a younger vet with some upside ok. But no more Plax's, Mason's, etc...

Sure its either a mistake or no big deal because this site has always been so good - but I just got an popup alert from my antivirus that a "Threat was identified/blocked" when I clicked the link to this thread.

I don't speak computer well enough to understand what it identified as a threat, but figured I would share since I almost never get these alerts on any sites I use. Maybe the anti virus just likes to make a ruckus sometimes to remind me its there.

He brought a loaded concealed weapon to a public nightclub. He deserved everything he got. Stallworth hit a guy who jumped in front of his car while under the influence. You can't see the difference?

God no. Another old, spent, poor character WR. Just what this team needs to avoid at all measures.

Hey I shot my self

Hey I killed a guy

I think it's you that can't see the difference. Im not talking about specific laws or intent or if it was an accident. I was talking about and comparing purely the end result.

I swear some of you pats trolls have your heads up your a$$es.

I am not suggesting he is as you put it "morally upright" and remember he did get an advance from the Jets in order to pay his child support while still on his rookie contract.

What I am saying is that he has not committed criminal acts i.e. no DWI and no assaults, no concealed weapons, no resisting arrest not even a pot-smoking misdemeanor.

If this is true, then why wasn't he cut before the 2010 season?

By the way, NO to Stallworth.

With Braylon, I don't think they wanted to risk giving the guy long term money. It's not specifically the DUI, but that was part and parcel of it. And considering the jets invested that money in Holmes, that's a pretty big indictment. And of course the health of his knees obviously comes into play, but I'm not sure of that was really an issue when the jets declined to pursue him.

Per Rotoworld, the Dolphins are giving Stallworth a look today.

Out of the two, Gaffney would be the better choice IMHO.

Stallworth does tend to make some drops as well as great catches. I didn't watch him in pre-season but there were some reports that he wasn't getting separation.

The rumor about Gaffney is that he might be coming back to the Patriots. He's hurt but there are rumors that once he's healthy, he'll be picked up again at some point in the season.
