More TE news: Team is hosting free-agent Michael Hoomanawanui (Rams). Expectation is that he will sign to 53-man roster if passes physical.

I guess thats why they brought in Winslow for a work out.

Per his agent @RickSmith1956, the #Patriots have signed former #Rams TE Michael Hoomanawanui.

Raiders signed Wr Derek Hagen over Jabbar gaffney. Basically the only reason he was signed was to improve the special teams units. Those units were atrocious all preseason. Derek Hagen did very well on special teams units the last time he played for the raiders.

Hagen outside special teams won't see the field that much. Just stuck behind too many talented Wr's.

Two notes: Eagles released QB Trent Edwards. Free-agent TE Kellen Winslow passed his Patriots physical, per sources.

And as @caplannfl notes, Eagles re-signing Trent Edwards today to an extension through 2013.
